The 2nd November 1930 was the date of the auspicious Coronation of 38 year old Ethiopian Prince Ras Negas Tafari as Emperor of Ethiopia. Rastafarians and others across the diaspora celebrate this historic occasion that impacts till this day on the yearning of Afrikans internationally.

Further, the words of His Imperial Majesty's plea for assistance (in the face of ITALIAN AGGRESSION) at the now defunct League of Nations ( as also immortalised in song by Hon. Bob Marley) rings true till TODAY as well.
